People who are reading this page are doing their homework. This is how we learn by asking questions , reading article after article, studies after studies. We are all looking for the same thing, myself included.. Relief from whatever ails us, to not be prisoners of the big pharma world. There are so many ‘snake oil’ companies worldwide, asking for recommendations on this site should not be discounted to being ‘lazy’. Until someone creates a ‘consumers reports ‘ style platform, we only have each other to learn from. None of us are happy about our personal situations; we are here, we are educating ourselves, we are spending countless hours reading about each product stating they are the’best’ . Personal experiences with different products are beneficial in helping people to make an educated decision, not being lazy
Although the research on the medicinal use of cannabis is strong, several studies indicate that the recreational use of cannabis can have persistent adverse effects on mental health. According to a 2013 report published in Frontiers in Psychiatry, depending on how often someone uses, the age of onset, the potency of the cannabis that is used and someone’s individual sensitivity, the recreational use of cannabis may cause permanent psychological disorders. Most recreational users will never be faced with such persistent mental illness, but in some individuals cannabis use leads to undesirable effects, including cognitive impairment, anxiety, paranoia and increased risks of developing chronic psychosis or drug addiction. Cannabidiol can be taken into the body in multiple different ways, including by inhalation of cannabis smoke or vapor, as an aerosol spray into the cheek, and by mouth. It may be supplied as an oil containing only CBD as the active ingredient (no added THC or terpenes), a full-plant CBD-dominant hemp extract oil, capsules, dried cannabis, or as a prescription liquid solution.
Jackson Leyden had always been a healthy kid; he practiced taekwondo, and he played lacrosse and baseball. But in 2011, a few months after his eighth birthday, he began having seizures several times a day. Many were brief, a half-minute of staring into space, but he also had severe episodes in which he would collapse, sometimes injuring himself. Over the next two years, he was hospitalized about 50 times, and he missed much of fourth and fifth grade.

A 2011 study aimed to compare the effects of a simulation public speaking test on healthy control patients and treatment-native patients with social anxiety disorder. A total of 24 never-treated patients with social anxiety disorder were given either CBD or placebo 1.5 hours before the test. Researchers found that pretreatment with CBD significantly reduced anxiety, cognitive impairment and discomfort in their speech performance, and significantly decreased alertness in anticipation of their speech. The placebo group presented higher anxiety, cognitive impairment and discomfort. (8)

As we have also seen above, CBD is considered to have wider applications than THC. Since CBD has been much less studied than THC, scientists assume that there are many new applications of CBD that haven’t yet been discovered. On the other hand, THC’s applications are more or less completely explored by now due to all the research on medical marijuana over the past decade.
As the environment around us affects our normal state of balance, the endocannabinoid system keeps us level by mediating our body’s reaction to external stimuli. Taking a CBD supplement can enhance your body’s ability to maintain homeostasis and manage physical and emotional stress as a result of changes in your immediate environment.
Hemp seed oil is known for its nutty taste and high levels of unsaturated fats, such as Omega 3 and Omega 6. It is used in many different applications from lotions to soaps, as a base for plastics instead of petroleum, and in eco-friendly paints.
It is well known that people who consume cannabis in other forms notice increased appetite, famously called “the munchies”. This can help people who want to gain weight quickly, particularly after an extended illness or injury.

In this article, we will give you the lowdown on some scientific facts about both CBD and THC, explaining objectively and in simple terms the differences between CBD and THC.

For reasons discussed previously, despite its molecular similarity to THC, CBD only interacts with cannabinoid receptors weakly at very high doses (100 times that of THC),xl and the alterations in thinking and perception caused by THC are not observed with CBD.iii.iv,v The different pharmacological properties of CBD give it a different safety profile from THC.
At least one benefit of CBD is well-supported by science: It can be effective in treating children with rare, genetic seizure disorders. Adults, children and even animals with epilepsy have been shown to benefit from the chemical too, the World Health Organization reports. There’s also some evidence that CBD can help with anxiety, says Dr. Robert Carson, an assistant professor of neurology and pediatrics at Vanderbilt University who focuses on children with epilepsy. “In children, especially those with autism spectrum disorders, this may manifest as improved interactions with others,” he says. Other preliminary research shows CBD holds promise for conditions including Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, psychosis and Parkinson’s disease – and is pretty much impossible to abuse or become addicted to, WHO says.

Over the last decade, the medical world has been scrutinizing and studying the science and the benefits CBD have to offer. Especially in helping people with specific ailments. In the past two years, there has been immense excitement and massive press coverage of CBD. Dr. Sanjay Gupta (Barack Obama’s first choice for Surgeon General) produced a documentary called ” WEED”, first shown on CNN. This groundbreaking documentary painted a picture of the power Cannabidiol has to fight disease, take away pain and so much more.
On Mar. 20, 2017, Gov. Bryant approved SB 2610, which amended the state’s CBD law to “clarify use in research of seizures and other medical conditions.” The bill allows other pharmacies to dispense CBD in addition to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, with federal and state regulatory approval.

One important thing to clarify is that CBD can be found either in Cannabis plants or hemp. Hemp and marijuana fall under the same genus, Cannabis. So marijuana CBD oil refers to either the Cannabis Sativa or Indica plants that are cultivated and grown to produce resinous trichomes. These trichomes contain high levels of tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, so these plants are bred for their psychoactive qualities.
CBD tinctures are the most typical way to buy CBD oil. Compared to other products, tinctures are probably the most popular and provide the purest form of CBD. It is possible to get flavored tinctures which can make the oil more comfortable to take. Tinctures are also natural to take, the user just placing a couple of drops under the tongue. The dosage per person can range depending on their preference or as instructed by their doctor.
Cannabinoids have long been considered as potential treatments for tremors associated with various CNS disorders, e.g., multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease (Arjmand et al., 2015) and this is described later. However, some studies suggest caution in the use of SCB in these diseases and in mice the synthetic CB receptor agonists CP55,940 and HU-210 evoked motor impairment (DeSanty & Dar, 2001). The phytocannabinoid nabilone increases choreatic movements in Huntington’s disease (Müller-Vahl, Schneider, & Emrich, 1999). The motor centers of the brain including the basal ganglia and the cerebellum contain very high CB1 receptor levels and thus one might expect SCB to have a significant effect on such symptoms as tremor.

Cannabidiol has very low affinity for the cannabinoid CB1 and CB2 receptors but is said to act as an indirect antagonist of these receptors. At the same time, it may potentiate the effects of THC by increasing CB1 receptor density or through another CB1 receptor-related mechanism.
Although the World Health Organization listed Cannabidiolum in a list of International Nonproprietary Names for Pharmaceutical Substances (INN) on 30 June 2016. French and Spanish versions wrongly mention agonist action of CBD on cannabinoid receptors while the English version says CBD is a cannabinoid receptor antagonist.
