Everyone is asking where to get this and I don’t see any recommendations which is why I wanted to make one. I work for a company called Bluegrass Hemp Oil which specializes in cannabis strains containing very high CBD content and extremely low THC content. Our plants are bread specifically to produce a lot of CBD and we extract only from the bloom which is the most cannabinoid rich part of the plant. Yes it is technically considered hemp because the THC content is so low but this is a cannabis plant intended for its CBD production, not a plant intended for fiber or seed but marketed as CBD oil as this article mentions. Its a really top notch product and I chose to work here because of the life changing affects it had on a family member of mine with debilitating anxiety.
When considering our different dietary hemp products, know that they all come in two strengths. Our Original Hemp blends (Hemp Classic, Hemp Complete, & Signature Blend) all have 250+mg of cannabinoids per fluid ounce, and our concentrated blends have 1,500+mg per fluid ounce, six times the potency of our traditional oils. We’ve found that sometimes less is more, but nevertheless, some people like to take very large serving sizes of our hemp extracts.
In the USA the legal definition of “industrial hemp,” per Section 7606 of the Agricultural Appropriations Act of 2014, is “INDUSTRIAL HEMP — The term ‘‘industrial hemp’’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”
Furthermore, THC and CBD oils also differ in the nature and effect of their Cannabinoid content. Cannabinoids typically bind to receptor sites located in the brain, called CB-1, and various parts of the human body called CB-2. But different cannabinoids produce different effects depending on which type of receptor they bind to. THC mostly binds to receptors in the brain, but CBD unlocks the receptors scattered throughout the body, making it far more useful for healing properties.
NIDA is currently collaborating with the National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke to evaluate CBD in animal models of epilepsy in order to understand the underlying mechanisms and optimize the conditions under which CBD may treat seizure disorders, and determine whether it works synergistically with other anti-seizure medications. In addition, clinical trials are currently underway by GW Pharmaceuticals, testing the efficacy of Epidiolex, a purified CBD extract, for treatment of pediatric epilepsy.
It has been reported high doses of CBD results in a decrease in blood pressure. This effect on blood pressure can be seen in just a few minutes of taking CBD. If you’re on medications for your blood pressure, you should consult with your doctor before taking CBD.
Just like THC, CBD is a chemical compound extracted from hemp plants. Both hemp and cannabis contain cannabidiol (CBD), the non-psychoactive substance. THC, however, is the substance that gives users that “high” or psychoactive effect. CBD has many similarities to THC when it comes to potential health benefits, but the main difference is that it’s a non-psychoactive substance, so it doesn’t give a natural high to users. It also does not cause anxiety, paranoia, or the mouth and eye dryness associated with THC, even when CBD is consumed in higher concentrations. Due to these inherent advantages, most high-quality CBD oil products on the market today are extracted from the hemp plant. THC oil, on the other hand, is derived from the cannabis plant, so it contains high levels of THC and low levels of CBD. On the other hand, industrially produced hemp contains higher concentrations of CBD with only trace amounts of THC, so it’s safer and offers fewer symptoms for users.
Most of CBD’s observed effects are well explained, but scientists are still trying to establish how some effects take place. The most possible explanation is that some interactions still need to be discovered.
As of 31 December 2016, products containing cannabidiol that are marketed for medical purposes are classed as medicines by the UK regulatory body, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and cannot be marketed without regulatory approval for the medical claims.
However, when cannabinoids are taken externally, it’s difficult to distinguish between the clinically desirable effects and the therapeutically undesirable effects of various phytocannabinoids. This is because cannabinoid receptors send a variety of signals that often interconnect to coordinate the body’s functions, so it’s hard to tell them apart.

However, stirring a few of drops into water is much less offensive, and blending it into a smoothie can make the taste disappear entirely. If none of these sound appealing, the oil is also available in capsules, which have a slower release.
CBD does not appear to have any psychoactive (“high”) effects such as those caused by ∆9-THC in marijuana, but may have anti-anxiety and anti-psychotic effects. As the legal landscape and understanding about the differences in medical cannabinoids unfolds, it will be increasingly important to distinguish “medical marijuana” (with noted varying degrees of psychotropic effects and deficits in executive function) – from “medical CBD”.
While THC remains illegal, CBD is not subject to the Swiss Narcotic Acts because this substance does not produce a comparable psychoactive effect. Cannabis products containing less than 1% THC can be sold and purchased legally.
In addition to CBD, Cannabis sativa L contains organic compounds called terpenes. Terpenes are isomeric hydrocarbons (C10H16) used to create essential oils, balsams, and other by-products. When chemically modified through oxidation or other methods, terpenes become terpenoids (sometimes referred to as isoprenoids). Vitamin A is one example of a terpenoid.
I am an osteoarthritis sufferer with significant osteophyte growth on my spine which causes me muscle and nerve irritation on a daily basis. I have tried several NSaid medications and unfortunately tend to suffer side effects such as stomach upset and also severe headaches. I have heard so much about the benefits of cbd oil for arthritis pain relief. My reluctance to try it steams from lack of regulations around full content disclosure. I have a long standing family history of mental illness (skizophrenia). I would want to know 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt that what I was getting was TCH free as TCH does exasperate my anxiety disorder and studies do show a correlation between TCH and the onset of psychosis, at least for those who have a genetic predisposition.
Anyone who wants a safe, natural health supplement can use CBD. Some people take it just to boost their body’s systems and balance their general health. Others take it to treat specific ailments, such as anxiety, pain, inflammation, and even epilepsy and some nerve and muscle afflictions. While the FDA hasn’t’ approved CBD oil and it shouldn’t be considered a medicine, an increasing number of people all over the world have discovered the healing properties of high CBD liquid. Everyone wonders what the future may hold. We will soon find out.
Pharmacists and chemists have found another use for the multipurpose cannabis as a source of antibacterial chemicals for multidrug resistant bacteria. Ironically, inhaling cannabis is known to damage the lung’s ability to fend off invading pathogens, but the ingredients in cannabis, particularly the cannabinoids, have antiseptic properties. Although scattered research has been conducted since the 1950s, no comprehensive study existed that relates the structure of cannabinoids with antibacterial activity. Giovanni Appendino, Simon Gibbons, and coworkers attempted to remedy that problem by examining the activity of five common cannabinoids and their synthetic derivatives.
Yet even those who believe in this power recognize that CBD medicine remains largely unexplored: Treatments are not systematized, many products are not standardized or tested, and patients (or their parents) are generally left to figure out dosing on their own. While some suppliers and dispensaries test the CBD and THC levels of their products, many do not. “We really need more research, and more evidence,” Kogan says. “This has to be done scientifically.”
We are all aware of the promising therapeutic benefits that can be derived from using CBD oil, but it also may interact poorly with other prescription and over-the-counter drug and medications. Since side effects are unavoidable when taking CBD extracted from both hemp and marijuana, its interaction with drugs that are taken simultaneously may result in adverse effects or serious complications. Hemp CBD oil can inhibit the liver’s ability in processing certain medications, which may result in an overall increase in processing times. As the liver experiences difficulty in metabolizing, drugs stay longer in the body. In some cases, the interaction could cause serious side effects or even overdose. With this in mind, you should consult your physician before starting on any hemp CBD oil therapy and may be required to alter your CBD dosage.
Industrial hemp typically contains far less cannabidiol than CBD-rich cannabis strains so a huge amount of industrial hemp is required to extract a small amount of CBD. This raises the risk of contaminants as hemp is a “bio-accumulator”—meaning the plant naturally drawns toxins from the soil.
“CBD is kind of a tricky drug because it’s not very well absorbed orally,” Welty explained. “Less than 20 percent of the drug is absorbed orally. If it isn’t made in the right way, you may not be getting much drug into your systemic circulation.”
Clammy skin is a widespread occurrence, particularly in people who sweat a lot. Clammy skin may occur periodically if a person is too warm, but someone with frequently clammy skin may have an underlying medical condition. In this article, learn about the causes of clammy skin, as well as the treatment options.
No, hemp oil is not the same as cannabis oil. Hemp oil is obtained by cold pressing of hemp seeds whereas cannabis oil is obtained by separating the resins from cannabis flowers. Their uses and chemical composition are quite different. Cannabis oil is much higher in THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) content, which has certain effects, whereas hemp oil tends to be higher in CBD (cannabidiol) levels.
My new ArthriDoc introduced me to something called ‘Hemp Oil?’ “Mr Fontaine you can’t always smoke.” My ministry inc Motivational Speaking, Martial Arts And Photojournalism/Photography. A research paper on the NCBI website concluded some potential side effects for CBD. One such side effect is the inhibition of hepatic drug metabolism, and the decreased activity of glycoprotein. Cannabinoids can influence some pharmaceutical drugs through the process of inhibiting liver enzymes called cytochrome p450. It’s important to consult with your doctor because this effect is not always considered an adverse side effect.

It is extremely rare for mature hemp plants to contain an extractable amount of CBG. Our source cultivates hemp plants that contain uniquely high amounts of CBG even at maturation time. From these organically grown hemp plants, we create a non-synthetic, completely natural, 100% THC-free CBG extract that is 98% pure cannabigerol.

We use ethanol/alcohol to extract our hemp, the most historically used method for cannabis/hemp extracts. It is a clean and cold extraction method that allows for optimal retention of terpenes and other sensitive compounds. We also employ low-temperature and relatively low-pressure CO2 extractions for some of our products. For the CBD isolate and CBD vape products, further processing is required to obtain the purity level achieved.

We just stated that CBD is fairly unique as far as cannabinoids go, because it does not seem to interact directly with either the CB1 or CB2 receptors. So what does it do if it’s not interacting directly with our receptors?
